Thousands of visitors are being tempted by the promise of a festive feast of flowers and food at an innovative event, hosted by NAFAS – National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies.
This unique event in one of the UKs largest Theatres will see members of NAFAS competing live for the Designer of the Year award, Elimination heats to find the UK`s representative for the World Flower Show WAFA Barbados 2017 and other floral art classes.
The Design Theatre will present stunning free flower arranging demonstrations daily by National Demonstrators, including two of the UK`s top florists, Manchester based Neil Whittaker of the Design Element and Cheshire based Ian Lloyd of The Flower Shop.
The Taste Theatre will see culinary experts such as former Coronation Street actor Sean Wilson owner of The Saddleworth Cheese Company, create delicious, mouth-watering delights, alongside a host of trade stands in the Taste Zone, enticing visitors with luscious goodies for the Festive Season.
NAFAS has also invited local Lancashire school children to create a Winter Festival greetings card which will be displayed at the venue to encourage young people to get involved in Art, Craft and Design. NAFAS Patron and TV presenter Nicki Chapman said “Floral design is a true art form and we hope that this huge initiative can help spread our passion across the UK.”
The Festive Flower & Food Show is taking place at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool 13-15 November 2015.
