Halloween Lantern Carnival, Merseyside, Nov 1st

Nights are drawing in and the excitement is brewing as Liverpool gets ready for the spectacular annual Halloween Lantern Carnival, which will light up even the darkest corners of Sefton Park on Friday November 1st.

Hundreds of people from across the city will come together with their hand-made lanterns for an enchanting procession through the park, joined by troupes of weird and wonderful characters, musicians, dancers and the Lantern Company’s spectacular array of illuminated giant puppets, creatures of the night and other bizarre manifestations of the imagination!

Led by a curious heroine with a head full of dreams and a thirst for knowledge, the parade takes the form of a journey deep into the forest. Mischief and mayhem abound, and our heroine seeks help to decipher truth from falsehoods, and the path she must take through the forest in her quest for knowledge.

Feel the heat and watch your whiskers don’t catch alight, at this years’s sizzling hot finale, brought to you in collaboration with sensational fire and pyrotechnics company And Now.

It’s a treat not to be missed!

Open Lantern making workshops will be taking place at venues across the city throughout October for those wishing to take part in the parade.
