Once again Rheged is proud to host this prestigious and very popular exhibition organised by one of Cumbria’s oldest and most respected artists group.
The exhibition is always a hit with locals and visitors to Cumbria, due to its combination of popular Lake District subjects as well as sometimes more unexpected subjects.
“I always look forward to the Lake Artists’ exhibitions.” explains John Stokes, Rheged’s Arts Officer. “What they do best is tradition with an eye on the modern. You know you’ll see beautiful paintings of classic Lakeland scenes like Christine Baines’ landscapes, but you also get a few surprises along the way like Ian Walton’s dark and brooding abstracts or Ceri Allen’s contemplative interiors.”
There’s only a few weeks left to catch this exhibition, which is on until Sunday 2 February
