Known as the original, biggest and best Christmas Markets in the UK, Manchester Christmas Markets have now been voted as one of the best in Europe by the European Best Destinations organisation.
Manchester is the only UK city to make the top ten list, coming up against such illustrious festive cities as Dresden, Strasbourg, Brussels, Stockholm and Vienna.
The vote organised by the Brussels-based organisation collected 71,622 votes during only ten days of competition, pitching 15 top European destinations against one another.
Manchester took ninth spot in the list beating of six rivals and closely missing out to Cologne in eighth place.
