Manchester Oktoberfest 2015

First Street will host the hugely popular Oktoberfest celebration when the event returns to Manchester from Wednesday, 21 October until Sunday, 25 October.

All tickets purchased for the event, which was originally planned for Albert Square, will remain valid.

Oktoberfest is the annual celebration of Bavarian culture, including: German beer served in giant stein glasses, customary food, Schlager music and, of course, lederhosen.

All self-contained within a large tent, reminiscent of a traditional German beer hall, Oktoberfest is well-known for its incredible party atmosphere.

Carsten Raun, Director of Oktoberfest, said: “The Manchester Oktoberfest is always a highlight of our national calendar of events. Although our spiritual home in the city has always been Albert Square, we’re excited to bring a slice of Bavaria to First Street – just a short walk from the town hall site. We look forward to sharing a stein with you.”
