Carlisle Blues & Rock Festival 2013, 8 – 10th Nov

Carlisle Blues Festival continues to grow in stature and from its origin in 2007, it is now firmly established as one of the best Blues-Rock events in the UK. The key to the success of the Festival has always been the consistent strength of the line up, its refusal to be restricted within a genre and offering exceptional value for money.

The 2013 line-up maintains a significant international flavour with some of the hottest names in the business. On Friday November 8th you can see five great bands for only £30, with headliner the classic blues exponent Bernard Allison. Also performing will be The Stevie Nimmo TrioThe StumbleJon Amor and The Mustangs (late night bar room).

On Saturday 9th the line up will feature Ian Siegal and the Mississippi MudbloodsIan Parker BandRyan McGarvey, Jo Harman and Company, Steve Roux and the Brass Knuckle Blues Band, The legendary Slack Alice, Blue Swamp feat Bowden and Williamson plus the Tom Townsend Blues Band (late night bar room blues and jam session).

Sunday’s acts include Royal Southern Brotherhood, Dave Midgen and The Dirty Words, The Deluxe and Ian Siegal with The Mudbloods (unplugged).

For four years running, Carlisle Blues-Rock Festival has been nominated in the best festival category of the British Blues Awards, by a panel of influential authorities on Blues from all corners of the UK, including broadcasters, publications, writers, festival organisers and promoters.
