Cumbria Live has launched #cumbriaweekend with the aim of offering dozens of free events across the county.
Imagine a weekend packed with great free events, a weekend to show Cumbria at its best, a weekend in which you could see top class entertainment for free.
A weekend for Cumbrians to get out and enjoy the best the county has to offer, a weekend to get Cumbria trending on Twitter and kickstart the 2014 tourist season.
That weekend is about to happen and it is #cumbriaweekend.
What is #cumbriaweekend?
A weekend of free events and activities organised by Cumbria Live and supported by Cumbria Tourism. There will be a mix of outdoor activities, unique events, free tickets to shows and free entry to top attractions.
When is #cumbriaweekend?
It takes place during English Tourism Week on April 5th and 6th
Why is it called #cumbriaweekend?
Cumbria Live is all about spreading the word online about Cumbria’s great arts, events and landscape. Using a hashtag will help us do that and during the weekend we want people to use the #cumbriaweekend hashtag to get Cumbria trending on Twitter (we’ll have some fun prizes for people joining in on Twitter).
What free events are taking place?
We will be releasing a full list of events and participating attractions later this month. You’ll find full listings in the News & Star, North West Evening Mail and of course online at www.cumbrialive.co.uk
How can I take part?
You will be able to book places on the website above and will get a confirmation email for your free entry or event.
How can attractions or venues take part?
If you would like to discuss taking part in #cumbriaweekend with an offer for us to promote for free in print and online please contact Nick Turner on 01228 612321 or via [email protected]
