The popular ‘Follow the Thread’ weekend is set to return to Helmshore Mills Textile Museum, Rossendale.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June from 11am to 5pm and has been organised by the Friends of Helmshore Museum.
As well as different textile skills and artists being showcased, many exciting family- friendly activities will also be available including hands-on activities and textile demonstrations.
Louise Jacobsson, Lancashire County Council’s manager at Helmshore Mills, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting this weekend for the third time. It has proved to be very popular both for families and for anyone wanting to find out about textile arts and crafts, including dyeing, embroidery, felting and spinning.
“The success of the last event proves the current popularity of textiles, both as art and a craft.
“I’m sure that it will be just as popular this year and everyone should have a great day out.”
Although the event is free to attend, admission to Helmshore Mills Textile Museum is £4 for adults and £3 for concessions. Accompanied children go free.
Car parking is free and Helmshore Mills Textile Museum is fully accessible for disabled visitors, including people with guide dogs.
