Lancashire easter countryside events

Lancashire County Council’s countryside rangers are waiting to welcome you to the outdoors with an exciting programme of events lined up for Easter.

A whole host of family friendly activities has been organised for the Easter holidays.

There are Birds of Prey at Beacon Fell, near Preston. At Spring Wood, near Whalley, there is the chance to help create a bonfire to help the rangers protect the woodland by getting rid of infected Rododendron.

There’s also plenty going on at other sites including Egg Rolling at Wycoller and walks at the Brun Valley Forest Park in Burnley.

County Councillor Marcus Johnstone, cabinet member for environment, planning, and cultural services, said: “Spring is a great ti! me to visit Lancashire’s glorious countryside and our events programme means there’s no excuse to stay at home.

“Numbers are limited for some events so to avoid disappointment please check our website and book ahead if you need to.”

Most events are free although there may be a small charge at some events and there is a £1 charge for parking in some car parks.
