‘Transmitting Andy Warhol’ exhibition at Tate Liverpool

There is still time to see ‘Transmitting Andy Warhol’ exhibition at Tate Liverpool until 8th February 2015.

Transmitting Andy Warhol is the first exhibition to explore Andy Warhol’s (1928 – 1987) role in establishing new platforms to disseminate art, and his experimentation with new approaches to art reception that redefined artistic practice and distribution.

The first solo exhibition of Warhol’s work in the north of England, Transmitting Andy Warhol brings together over 100 pieces from Tate’s collection and collections across the world and rethinks Warhol’s pivotal role in re-defining the access to culture and art as we know it today.

Highlights of the exhibition include major paintings loaned from international collections as well as films, drawings, prints and photographs, augmented by a rich display of documentation.

Transmitting Andy Warhol is part financed by the North West England European Regional Development Fund Programme 2007 to 2013.
