Exhibition: War! 1914, Lancaster City Museum, 4 – 18 October

The exhibition, War! 1914, looks at the response to the outbreak of the Great War in Lancaster and by the King’s Own Regiment and runs 4 – 18 October at Lancaster City Museum.

Whilst volunteers joined up and began their training, the King’s Own was involved in the first actions of the war on the Western Front. A fascinating story of local people in a global conflict.

War! 1914 looks at Lancaster’s response to the outbreak of The Great War with a focus on the men of the King’s Own Regiment.
